As the next Sheriff of Lawrence County, my vision and priorities are committed to top-down accountability, and achieving a standard of excellence at the Sheriff’s Office that will both transform Lawrence County into a safer community along with building trust between citizens and law enforcement.

My name is Vincent Martwinski and after much thought and consideration with my wife (Traci), family and friends, I am excited to announce that I will be seeking the Republican nomination for Lawrence County Sheriff. Lawrence County has been my home for the better part of 40 years and I am extremely committed to our community and its future. I have over 24 years of Law Enforcement experience with the last twelve being employed with the Lawrence County District Attorney’s County Detective Bureau. I have worked my way through the ranks starting as a narcotics detective and was promoted to Captain of the Criminal Investigation Division.

I have confirmed with Sheriff Perry Quahliero that he will not be seeking re-election at the end of his term. I would like to take this opportunity to wish him the best in his retirement and future endeavors.

The law enforcement profession faces unprecedented challenging times. This includes but is not limited to public trust, departmental morale, mental health of officers, recruitment and retention just to name a few.

I was elected President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lawrence County Lodge #110 by officers representing 16 different Lawrence County police agencies. My leadership style throughout my law enforcement career has been, and always will be, dedicated to the core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Now, more than ever, we need strong political leadership which focuses on these core values with the purpose to serve others, above yourself.

I have decided to make my intentions known early to meet the residents of Lawrence County. I am committed to running a campaign that reflects my core values of leadership and future direction of the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. I would consider it an honor to earn your support and be elected your next Sheriff of Lawrence County.
